1996: The Pajama Game

The Pajama Game is a musical based on the novel 7-1/2 Cents by Richard Bissell. It features a score by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross.  Employees of the Sleeptite Pajama Factory are looking for a whopping seven-and-a-half cent an hour increase and they won't take no for an answer. Babe Williams is their feisty employee representative, but she may have found her match in shop superintendent Sid Sorokin. When the two get together they wind up discussing a whole lot more than work!

The original Broadway production of 1954 was revived in 1973, and again in 2006.  The original production won a Tony for Best Musical, and the 2006 Broadway revival won a Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical.
